May AEC firm rankings, lists, awards and PR opportunities

May 14, 2024

Q2 is halfway over. I know!

Historically, this is the time of year when we get a bit more breathing room. The start of summer is often when things slow down a little…

Not this year!

When things are very busy, it may feel too overwhelming for your architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) firm to seek out proactive PR opportunities.

No fear! We are here with the strongest opportunities for AEC firms to get the most mileage from their time spent on submissions. Here are a few of our favorites:

  • Zweig’s Marketing Excellence Award submissions are due June 7 and cost $300 to submit. Categories range from brochures and holiday marketing to newsletters and social media.

  • Construction Executive’s Top Construction Technology Firms recognition is now live. For this award, firms can list up to three unique products (not including modules or add-ons). Submissions are due June 14.
  • CURT’s Construction Industry Safety Excellence Award is live. By commending safety improvements and good management by owners and builders, this award recognizes firms that most effectively implement the recommendations of the CURT Owners Safety Blueprint. Applications cost $250 and are due by July 28.

  • For those hitting the conference circuit this year, a few events coming up include:
  • And don’t forget to add these holidays to your social media calendar next month:
    • June: Pride Month and National Safety Month

    • June 5: World Environment Day (This is a great opportunity to show off any LEED / Green Globes projects your firm has worked on.)

    • June 16: Father’s Day

    • June 19: Juneteenth

    • June 22: National HVAC Tech Day

    • June 23: Women in Engineering Day

    • July 25: National Intern Day (We’re super early on this one, but it’s about time for summer internship programs to kick off, so we recommend thinking about social content now.)
