September AEC firm rankings, lists, awards and PR opportunities

September 16, 2024

Thank goodness we made it to autumn! (She says while watching the thermostat hit 88 degrees.)

I think we can all agree that the end of Q3 is when things start sprinting toward the new year. All of a sudden we’re developing 2025 budgets, planning conference attendance and ironing out new goals.

If more ink for your architecture, engineering and construction firm sits on the top of your goals for 2024 and 2025, we’re happy to help. We keep an eye on all things AEC, and below are the opportunities we believe to be worth your time.

This month, here are our favorites:

  • DBIA’s Call for Presentations — DBIA is prepping for their 2025 Design-Build for Transportation/Aviation Conference on March 17-19. They are looking for subject-matter experts who can share “lessons learned, tools [or] resources” pertaining to this specific sector. The deadline for submissions is October 10. Even if you are attending the conference with no plans of speaking, there are still opportunities to connect with reporters at these events.
  • ForConstructionPros.com’s PACER award — This award highlights individuals within the world of heavy construction, asphalt, concrete, pavement maintenance and rental industries in four categories: Women in Construction, Rising Professionals in Construction, Lifetime Achievement and Jobsite Excellence. Submissions are due October 11.
  • ABC’s Excellence in Construction award — For ABC’s national EIC award, projects must be completed by October 15. AEC firms then have until October 25 to register their intent to submit.
  • ULI AmericasULI Apgar Thought Leader Award —  ULI members are welcome to submit for this award at any time, which provides the opportunity to publish an article in Urban Land as well as $1,500 and free registration to one of ULI’s upcoming meetings. We might be biased, but we believe thought leadership is one of the best ways your firm can remain top of mind for prospective clients. There’s a rolling due date, so no need to mark your calendar.
