July AEC firm rankings, lists, awards and PR opportunities
In my neck of the woods, it is back-to-school season.
I know!
This heat begs for pool days and popsicles. But alas.
I’ve always loved back-to-school vibes. The freshly sharpened pencils, the rainbow of highlighters, the color-coded binders standing at attention. It’s no wonder that, in adulthood, I found my way to a role that allows me to treat each month as a fresh start.
At Rep Ink, we keep monthly tabs on the brightest opportunities we think are worth your architecture, engineering and construction firm’s time. And while things tend to slow down in the summer, rest assured that we will continue to send all relevant awards and rankings your way.
Here’s what we’re looking at this month:
- ABC’s National Safety Excellence Awards: These awards recognize companies that show a commitment to jobsite safety and are judged based on data submitted by STEP applications, essay questions and video interviews with company executives about corporate safety culture. Applications cost $450 and are due August 30.
- Global Cold Chain Alliance’s Built by the Best Award: If your firm is a member, consider your controlled environment buildings for this award. As the name suggests, this is an international award program so make sure the project you aim to submit showcases “innovative and complex” solutions. Submissions are due August 30.
- Don’t forget about these holidays to incorporate in your social media calendar next month:
- August: National Water Quality Month
- August 2: National CAD Day
- August 7: National Professional Engineers Day
- August 11: National 8-1-1 Day
- August 12 – 18: OSHA Safe + Sound Week
- August: National Water Quality Month
- For those looking to leave the office and stretch your legs and industry events, a few coming up include:
- Amplify AEC: If anyone is attending SMPS’s annual conference from July 24 – 26 in Salt Lake City, keep an eye out for Reputation Ink’s President & Principal Michelle Calcote King!
- Keys to the Future: The National Association of Women in Construction’s annual conference will be held from August 14 – 17 in Houston. Registration is still open for this multiday event.
