June law firm rankings, lists, awards and PR opportunities

June 13, 2024

We have been connecting each month over legal PR opportunities for four years now!

I know. In that time, “House of the Dragon” debuted and then was gone for so long that we forgot about it. I made a human who is now a toddler capable of shouting “I do it!” when putting her footie pajamas on upside down and backwards. And the Rep Ink team has grown.

We’ve welcomed new clients and new team members and new agency dogs.

Among them is Raychel Lean, who joined the agency this year. Raychel is new(ish) to Rep Ink, but not to the world of legal PR. She served for five years as managing editor for American Lawyer Media’s South Florida publication, the Daily Business Review, where she and her team covered law, real estate and business for an audience of legal professionals. More recently, she led communications programs for clients in South Florida’s legal, financial and insurance sectors. She was also the lead editor for a national team of content marketers focused on law firms. All this to say: We’re elated to have Raychel (and her dog Venus) as part of Reputation Ink.

This is the part where I gracefully hand the legal-email-sending baton to Raychel. She will start visiting your inbox monthly to provide a robust list of legal PR opportunities. You are in wonderful hands with Raychel.

Raychel will be sending the newsletter from a new email address — inksights@rep-ink.com — make sure to whitelist that address so we don’t end up in your spam folder!

And now, let’s look at the top legal opportunities we’re keeping our eyes on this month:

  • 2024 Texas Legal Awards — Last call for our friends in the Lone Star State! Submissions are being accepted by Texas Legal Awards until June 21.
  • Birmingham Business Journal’s Top Birmingham Women 2024 and Birmingham Women to Watch 2024 — If you or a legal professional you admire is based in Birmingham, there is still time to submit! The deadline for submissions is June 21.
  • National Law Journal’s 2024 Legal Awards — For legal professionals in Washington, D.C., there is still time to showcase your achievements. The deadline for submissions is July 1.
  • Law.com’s New Jersey Legal Awards 2024 — So many regional awards this summer! If you are based in Jersey and have notable work to share, submissions are due July 9.
  • Law360’s 2024 MVPs of the Year Series — For this series, Law360 will profile attorneys who had the biggest wins and made the most significant contributions to their practice groups in the past year. Submissions are due July 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
  • ABA TECHSHOW 2025 — The American Bar Association will gather legal and technology professionals to discuss the most useful and practical tech from April 2 – 5 in Chicago. If you have an idea for a session, they’re accepting proposals until July 15.
  • American Legal Technology Awards — These awards recognize companies or individuals who are making a difference. Submissions for legal industry innovators are being accepted until July 31. Heads up that self-nominations are welcome!
  • If you’re interested in more in-person networking (which we highly recommend for both connecting with reporters and securing speaking opportunities), Corporate Counsel’s Women, Influence and Power in Law conference is September 23 – 25 in Chicago.
